Theoretical foundations of a unified Islamic Ummah, its fundamental values and its relationship with modern Islamic civilization

Abstract:

The present study examines and analyzes the main principles and components of the unity of the Islamic Ummah based on the verses and guidelines of the Holy Prophet and points to the need for the formation of a unified Islamic Ummah from the perspective of the Holy Quran and Sunnah, the most important theoretical and practical approaches to the unity of the Ummah. This article uses a descriptive-analytical method to try to explain the most important principles and components of the realization of a unified Ummah, inspired by the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. According to this study, most followers of Islamic religions disregard the original Islamic teachings, do not adhere to the Ahl al-Bayt in addition to adhering to the Quran, following misguided scholars and corrupt and tyrannical rulers, sectarianism, lack of unity among Muslims, the prevalence of Western culture in Islamic societies, the dependence of most Islamic countries on foreigners are the most important obstacles to the unity and realization of a unified and desirable Islamic Ummah.
