Chairman of the supreme council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought warned of plots hatched by colonial powers and intrigues to disintegrate Islamic nation.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Ali Ghazi Askar, chairman of the supreme council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought attended program televised on Iran's state broadcasting IRIB warning of plots by colonial powers which aim solidarity in the world of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
On threshold of the Islamic Unity Week, the cleric related on the issues challenging solidarity among Muslims and warned of the plots by colonial powers as a major challenge for the world of Islam.
 
He said," The motto on "Divide and rule" is the policy by which the colonial powers are pursuing disintegration of the countries, spark war among them in order to loot their resources."
 
The cleric added," Enemies are benefiting from ignorance of the people when the provoke Shia and Sunni to desecrate each other's sanctities."
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Ghazi Askar stated," We have no problems with other Islamic denominations or other religious groups" stressing that once followers of monotheistic religions are united, they will bring a great change.
 
The cleric made the comments on the eve of the Islamic Unity Week when Shia and Sunni mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
