Mawlawi Nazir Ahmad Salami, Member of the Assembly of Leadership Experts, on the morning of Tuesday, October 18, at the opening of the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference, while congratulating on the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH), recited the holy verse:
«ان هذه امتکم امة واحدة و أنا ربکم فاعبدون»
And he stated: The “Unified Ummah” in this verse refers to the “unity of word” and “I am your Lord so worship me” refers to “the word of monotheism”.”
He added: “The Qur’an is a book that is standard in terms of rhetoric and literature, and each of its precedence and latency points to a meaning and concept.” Some Islamic theorists have said that the precedence of “unity of word” over “the word of monotheism” in this verse refers to the fact that Muslims and those who believe in the word monotheism are successful and victorious when they have the unity of word.
Mawlawi Salami added: “God the Almighty has placed very valuable material and spiritual capacities in the Islamic Ummah. Spiritual capacity such as the Qur’an, Islam, the life of the Prophet (PBUH) and the life of the Imams (AS), which are very high values, and if we adhere to them, we will reach the greatness that our ancestors had in the world.”
He emphasized: “The early Muslims of Islam, by relying on religious teachings and Islamic unity and solidarity, were able to conquer the world in the shortest possible time and spread Islam in different parts of the world.”
Referring to the material capacities in the Islamic world, Salami said: “The population of the Islamic world is one of the material capacities that Muslims have. A population of about one and a half billion and no Ummah has such a population except Christians.” The second material capacity is the extent of the Islamic world, i. e. from Indonesia to Morocco, all Islamic countries except India and Myanmar are connected to each other, and the third material capacity is oil and gas resources at the disposal of the Islamic Ummah, because Islamic Countries of the Middle East have more than a half of the world’s oil and gas resources. Shipping routes, which are very important in terms of strategic and economic, are other material capacities of the Islamic world.”
Mawlawi Salami pointed out: “The Islamic countries of the Middle East are connected to the African continent from the south, to Europe from the north and west, and to the Asian continent from the east, and these are all capacities that, if used in the shadow of unity, consistency and collective wisdom, will help the situation of the Islamic world a lot.”
In the end, he emphasized: “If all these facilities are given to the enemies and they are not used optimally, it is a collective sin that cannot be forgiven.”
