Ayatollah Seyyed Abbas Miryunsi, the head of the Kangavar seminary, said: “If we seek to create a new Islamic civilization in the world, we will inevitably create a comprehensive and lasting unity in the Islamic world, so the role of religious scholars and clerics is very important.”
This Kermanshahi scholar continued: “Some people and even religious scholars see unity as a tactic, while this is an important and fundamental principle in Islam.”
In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Miryounsi stated: “As long as the interaction between Islamic countries is like this, one should not expect the divisiveness of the enemies to end, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said in this regard: ‘We consider it necessary and in line with the goals of the Islamic system, and unity among Muslims is obligatory for a hundred reasons and for a hundred possible reasons, and is the only healing prescription for treating the pains of the Islamic world.”
The head of Kangavar Theological School continued: “The principle of unity is well evident in the verses of the Holy Quran, to the extent that God the Almighty says in Surah Al-e Imran verse 103 about the importance and place of unity.”
This prominent scholar of Kermanshah emphasized: “Every calamity and calamity that befalls Islamic societies is the main reason for the division and interpretation of voting for religion. The first and most important mission of the divine prophets after inviting people to God the Almighty is to create and maintain unity.”
Ayatollah Miryounsi stated: “Fortunately, with the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the issue of unity in the Islamic world was revived and the late Imam should be considered the founder of this fundamental principle among Muslims. With his wise wisdom, he named a week as the Week of Unity, in which we see conferences, meetings, etc. between the elders and scholars of different Islamic denominations.
