Ayatollah Mohammad Javad Fazel Lankarani: All Muslims Are Committed to Making Peace
Ayatollah Mohammad Javad Fazel Lankarani, a high level professor and a prominent Member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, first congratulated the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam and their son, Imam Ja'far Sadiq (AS), and referred to the beginning of the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference. With the slogan "Islamic unity, peace and avoidance of division and strife in the Islamic world", he said: First, it must be stated that unity among Muslims is one of the current necessities of the Islamic world. In the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference, I serve all audiences, scholars and thinkers of Islam, and I hope that the freshness and intellectual interaction in the issue of unity will be given special attention.
He added: God Almighty says in verse 228 of Surah Al-Baqarah: "O you who believe! O you who believe, all of you, submit to God and do not follow the obsession of Satan, for he is an open enemy to you.
He continued: This verse and a few verses that come after this noble verse are very important and key verses related to the Muslim community. This verse is one of the verses of Al-Ahkam that we should mention, as I will explain, it is related to individual and social jurisprudence.
The head of the Jurisprudential Center of the Imams stated: In the issue of social jurisprudence, we can make good use of this verse that God Almighty says, place yourself in this stronghold and stronghold. God seeks to introduce the stronghold in this noble verse.
He stated: "Enter into peace"; Some commentators have interpreted Salam as Islam and some as obedience to God Almighty, and some have applied it to the guardianship of the Commander of the Faithful (pbuh) and the descendants of the Prophet of Islam (pbuh); But it should be noted that the literal meaning of this word means compromise, peace and tranquility.
Lankarani stated: In this verse, he says to put yourself in a position; You believers, the Islamic Ummah and you who accept God and the Prophet of Islam and the Qur'an, be in a state of peace, do not quarrel and do not create divisions among yourselves, and live in peace and tranquility.
He added: In the circle of Islam, all Muslims are sent to Salam; This peace that God Almighty has expressed in this part is appropriate to the ruling and the subject, the meaning of peace is in the light of this faith and in the shadow of Islam, that is, the peace and reconciliation and the peace that religion creates for you.
He acknowledged: "So all Muslims are individually and socially committed to peace." God's purpose in this peace is nothing but compromise, peace and human happiness in this world and the hereafter. God Almighty has emphasized the only peace that is in the shadow of Islam.
He said: "Therefore, the word "کافه" is not for emphasis, but now in the conscience. Everyone should be in this peace, "ادخلو" is not advice but a duty on the whole Muslim Ummah.
In the end, he emphasized: Every world and group of Muslims in all parts of the Islamic world is obliged to do this task; These are some verses related to the Muslim community and Islamic societies, every human being is obliged to maintain unity; Therefore, according to this noble verse, more practical ways to enter this peace should be considered in this conference of unity.
