In Golestan Province, Mawlavi Lotfollah Haqparast, Professor at Burhanuddin Rabbani University in Kabul and Deputy Chairman of the Islamic Brotherhood Council of Afghanistan, and a guest of the 40th International Conference on Islamic Unity, took part in a number of Quranic and cultural programs held as part of Unity Week.
At the Quranic Fellowship Gathering, held on 3 Shahrivar 1405 at the Imam Shatibi Dar al-Quran in Gonbad-e Kavus, he delivered an address entitled “In the Shade of Unity; On the Path of Unity.”
In his address, Mawlavi Haqparast described Islamic unity and brotherhood as among the central messages of the Holy Quran. He emphasized the importance of returning to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), while strengthening the common ground shared by Muslims as a foundation for greater unity and solidarity. He also stressed the need for vigilance against forces that seek to sow division, highlighting the pivotal role of religious scholars in fostering dialogue, exchanging views, and deepening awareness of the common ground shared by Muslims.
Mawlavi Haqparast described his participation in Quranic gatherings in Golestan Province as a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the region’s religious and Quranic potential. He also highlighted the commitment of the people and religious scholars of the region to the Holy Quran, Islamic unity, and the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Mawlavi Lotfollah Haqparast also attended the “Empathy Celebration,” held in Gonbad-e Kavus on 4 Shahrivar 1405 during Unity Week under the theme “Islam, a Family as Vast as the Ummah.” In his remarks, he addressed the importance of the family and its role in strengthening social solidarity and mutual understanding.
He described Golestan Province as an example of harmony and solidarity among different ethnic groups and Islamic communities, noting that the presence of diverse communities, including the Turkmen people, alongside one another represents an expression of Islamic brotherhood and mutual understanding. He also emphasized the central place of the family in human life, highlighting the important role of women in fostering harmony within the family and contributing to the upbringing of future generations.
As part of his visit, Mawlavi Lotfollah Haqparast also visited the Imam Shatibi Dar al-Quran in Gonbad-e Kavus.
