Ayatollah Reza Ostadi Moghaddam Tehrani, Member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, firstly congratulated the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet of Islam and his son, Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), and referred to the beginning of the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference with the slogan “Islamic Unity, Peace and the Avoidance of Division and Conflicts in the Islamic world,” he said.
He added: “Today we are witnessing the youth of Islamic Iran and other Islamic societies leading to non-Islamic issues, because it is clear to them that Islam is spreading rapidly among human societies, hence they raise issues like Islamophobia and seek to weaken Islam.”
A member of the Supreme Council of the Qom Seminary Management Center stated: “Now the Ummah, scholars and thinkers of the Islamic world must consciously and with full and accurate awareness, perform their duties well and observe and recognize the damage.”
Referring to the slogan of the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference, he said: “One of the factors that weakens Muslims is strife and discord.” In the past, any war, bloodshed and verbal and tense conflicts have been rooted in differences. These disputes have not benefited either side and only the enemies have benefited from them.”
He continued: “The enemies of Islam, who have no sympathy and consider the existence of Sunnis and Shiites to their detriment, will enter in any way they can to weaken Islam.”
He stated: “The Ummah, intellectuals and scholars of the Islamic world should pay attention that it is not an example of pouring water on the mill of the enemies and should not neglect Islam and strengthen the enemies.”
This prominent professor of the seminary of Qom said: “We must pay attention to what Islam, the Qur’an and the Prophet have asked for, and establish empathy and brotherhood with each other through brotherhood, love and friendship. It is necessary to avoid any conflicts and wars, which is a rational thing.”
In the end, he emphasized: “Today, considering the age of communication and the expansion of the media, it should be noted that any incorrect words and expressions anywhere in the world can be stressful and cause irreparable problems.”
